About Me

Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin. I have over 10 years of experience working within the field of mental health.

In 2006 I graduated with my Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Throughout my professional career, I have worked with individuals with a wide range of diagnoses and functional impairments, including schizophrenia, substance abuse, ADHD, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. I have a special interest in working with individuals who are diagnosed with affective disorders and/or post traumatic stress disorder, as well as anxiety disorders. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults.

The therapeutic approach I tend to use during treatment is a combination of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy along with the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy concept of Mindfulness. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, which is an effective evidence-based practice for the treatment of trauma and other mental health diagnoses.

Please feel free to discuss any questions or concerns that you may have at any point during the process. I look forward to meeting you!
